To rate the Koulen Hotel you have to first start by commending the staff, ALL THE STAFF! from Reception to Dining Room, Drivers, Cleaners and everyone in between, everyone was friendly helpful and with an amazing work ethic, my wife and I were truly humbled by the people we met there. The facilities were fantastic too, a well equipped , scrupulously clean room, a fantastic pool area, and a restaurant quality breakfast which we looked forward to every day, (the variety and quality of the food was great as was the service!). The location was perfect too, close enough to the night life to be there in 5 minutes (by Tuk Tuk) but in a quiet enough area that you could sleep peacefully every night, the one exception being during Khmer New Year but experiencing those celebrations was amazing and even the revellers were always friendly and respectful never rowdy!
