Shaanxi Province (Chinese: 陕西) is situated in the northwestern region of China. A popular destination to visit is Xi’an, the capital and a major city in Shaanxi Province. Xi’an was historically known as Chang’an (Eternal Peace) and serves as the starting point for the Silk Road. The city is also renowned for its archaeological sites, including the famous Terracotta Warriors (Bingmayong, 兵馬俑).
