Following the crowd, we stopped at each scenic stop and were mesmerized by the stunning beauty. Beautiful lakes, mountains, and waterfalls surround you, making the view simply breathtaking, especially with the snowfall.

Upon arriving at the Shanghaizi Tourist Center, we continued our Bipenggou itinerary and headed to Moon Lake.

From Shanghaizi to Moon Lake

Bipenggu itinerary - Hike from Shanghaizi to Moon Lake

There were two travel options from Shanghaizi to Moon Lake: the first was hiking, and the second was taking an electric sightseeing car. Travelers could choose either option for one way or return with the electric sightseeing car. The cost started from CNY 20, depending on the section.

Considering the weather and our time constraints, we opted for the electric sightseeing car, which allowed us to easily access the scenic spots.

Bipenggou itinerary - Snow-capped mountain with waterfall

At the Bipenggou scenic area, we explored the surroundings.

The scenery was beautiful, especially with the snow-capped mountains after a recent snowfall. I felt a deep sense of awe and wonder at the majesty of the landscape around me.

Winter in Bipenggou

During our visit in late November, the weather was freezing. It was essential to bring warm clothing and be prepared for temperature changes due to the altitude.

Please note that some paths were closed because of the snowfall. Although most paths remained walkable, sturdy walking boots with good grip were necessary.
