If you’re looking for a seafood feast and want to avoid tourist traps, we highly recommend Moc Quan. The seafood is exceptional, and the prices are very reasonable.
Da Nang never disappoints when it comes to amazing seafood. While you’re in Da Nang, be sure to try fresh seafood options like lobster, prawns, crab, squid, and much more. There are numerous seafood restaurants in Da Nang, all serving deliciously fresh seafood dishes. Among them, Moc Quan stands out as one of the most popular seafood spots in the city.
During our visit to Da Nang, we personally dined in Moc Quan (Vietnamese: Hải sản Mộc Quán Đà Nẵng) to taste its fresh seafood. The restaurant is always bustling with both locals and foreign diners. It has gained even more popularity among Korean tourists after being featured on a Korean TV show. We had a fantastic time enjoying fresh lobster, crab, prawns, and a variety of other delightful seafood dishes. With excellent service, affordable prices, and fresh seafood, it’s easy to understand why Moc Quan is so well-loved.
In this Da Nang Food post, we’ll share our dining experience at Moc Quan Seafood Restaurant.
Moc Quan Seafood Restaurant, Da Nang

Tucked away in a vibrantly decorated alley in Da Nang, Moc Quan Seafood Restaurant is a hidden gem that serves fantastic seafood. I highly recommend this spot for its fresh seafood, affordable prices, and superb service!
Although the restaurant is quite large, you may have to wait in line for a table. Moc Quan offers both outdoor seating in a pleasant atmosphere and indoor air-conditioned seating.

There is also a waiting area for walk-in guests. Be prepared to wait during peak dining hours. I recommend making a reservation or arriving early to avoid the crowd. Moc Quan is open daily from 10:30 AM to 10:30 PM.

Business Hours: Daily from 10:30 to 22:30

Moc Quan Food Tips: Directly opposite Moc Quan, there is a foot massage center that offers services to customers. If you mention that you are dining at Moc Quan, you can receive a discount. It’s a good option if you need to wait for a long time due to queuing.
An effective way for them to market their services!

Seafood Feast at Moc Quan

We decided to drop by Moc Quan Seafood Restaurant for an early dinner to avoid the crowds. From our hotel, Sanouva Danang Hotel, it was a lovely 10-minute Grab ride. When we arrived around 5 PM, it was no surprise that the restaurant was still bustling with people.
Once we got down from the grab, we were greeted by the staff and led to the seating area. We chose to sit indoors as the weather was still hot.
Looking around at the diners, I noticed that many of them were Korean. Da Nang is truly loved by Koreans, and there were many Korean tourists around us. It seemed like everyone was enjoying dinner at Moc Quan.
Moc Quan Menu – What To Order

The Moc Quan menu offers a wide selection of seafood, each prepared with various flavors. It is available in English, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Vietnamese, so there are no language barriers when ordering at Moc Quan.
If you’re unsure about what to choose, the staff will be happy to provide recommendations.

The service here is top-notch, the staff is very attentive and detail-oriented. During the ordering process, the staff suggests and confirms the weight of the seafood you’re choosing.

If you order crab, lobster, or seafood priced by weight, they will take you to the fresh seafood area where they will select the seafood and weigh it right in front of you.
So no worry for the short-changed or getting scammed for eating seafood at Moc Quan Seafood Da Nang!

Moc Quan is also famous for its lobsters, offering both Paint Spiny and Longlegged Spiny Lobster to choose from. We skipped the lobster as we didn’t want to overspend on this dish.
Look at how fresh the lobster from Moc Quan is!
What We Ordered at Moc Quan Da Nang
We ordered salted egg sauce crab, garlic and butter tiger prawn, steamed squid, and morning glory with razor clams. Everything was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and delicious all the way to the last bite. All the dishes here are made with the finest seafood, and you can taste that immediately.
The food is prepared quickly, and the service is impressive.
Freshly Steamed Squid

The steamed squid was the first dish served to our table. It was large and incredibly fresh. Super tasty.
Stir Fry Morning Glory with Razor Clams

We really enjoy the stir-fried morning glory with razor clams. The razor clams (“ốc móng tay” in Vietnamese) are very fresh and juicy, making them a perfect match when stir-fried with morning glory and garlic. Thumbs up!
Garlic Butter Tiger Prawn

When dining at Moc Quan, the best part is that the staff will help you peel the seafood shells (prawn and crab), allowing you to keep your hands clean.
The tiger prawn was cooked to perfection, and the garlic butter added a savory touch. The prawn meat was firm and sweet, and the sauce complemented it beautifully. When comparing the flavors, we unanimously voted for the garlic butter sauce. It was so tasty, especially when paired with a Bahm Mi Bread.
Meaty Crab Cooked with Salted Egg Sauce

We are personally crab lovers, so we have decided to eat crab instead of lobster.
There are two types of crab to choose from: Roe Crab and Meaty Crab. We opted for Meaty Crab since we don’t mind whether the crabs have roe or not. We debated whether to choose Salted Egg sauce or Singapore sauce, ultimately opting for the Salted Egg sauce.
The crab cooked with Salted Egg sauce may not be everyone’s favorite. It is a bit sweet and creamy, but some people might enjoy it. However, we do have a slight regret about choosing the Salted Egg sauce, although the crab itself was quite good.

We had a very satisfying meal at Moc Quan.
The total cost of our meal at Moc Quan Seafood Restaurant was 1,360,500 VND. We found the price to be quite reasonable, especially considering that we ordered crab, tiger prawns, various other seafood dishes, and drinks.
Additionally, it’s worth noting that Moc Quan accepts both credit cards and cash, which is very convenient.
Overall: Moc Quan Seafood Restaurant Food Review
All in all, we highly recommend Moc Quan Seafood Restaurant if you are looking for a seafood feast in Da Nang. Everything was excellent, especially the simple yet absolutely delicious seafood. Even though the restaurant was busy, the atmosphere made me feel happy. If you’re a seafood lover, make sure to try the offerings at Moc Quan, you won’t be disappointed.
