Coffee Tasting Visit at Faifo Coffee

Faifo Cafe Ground Floor

We wandered around Hoi An Ancient Town and decided to look for a place to relax with some Vietnamese coffee. The café was quite busy on the day we visited. We were greeted with a friendly welcome from the staff and then proceeded to place our coffee order at the counter.

Faifo Coffee Hoi An - What To Order

To manage visitors who might want to take photos without ordering, the staff kindly requests that you order your drink before proceeding to the upstairs seating area.

We sampled the signature Vietnamese salt coffee during our visit. It’s worth noting that the coffee prices are on the higher side compared to other places in Hoi An.

Enjoy Vietnamese Local Coffee

Faifo Coffee Hoi An - Second Floor Seating Area

After placing your order, you can take a seat as the staff will bring your coffee to your table. We chose to sit on the second floor to relax and enjoy our coffee.

The old building, dim lighting, and simple decor create a nostalgic atmosphere that transports you back in time. The ambiance in the cafe is lovely, slightly dark, but a perfect spot for chatting and enjoying time with friends.

Enjoy Vietnamese Coffee at Faifo Coffee Hoi An

We ordered the Vietnamese coffee with pink salt and creamy cheese. The coffee was creamy and had a strong flavor, offering a very unique taste.

We also tried the burnt cheesecake, which was a creamy and decadent delight. We truly enjoyed our time here.

Later, we went up to the rooftop to take in the view. The sights from the rooftop overlooking the streets of Hoi An were stunning, and we captured some great photos.

You can see the roofs of the old houses from the coffee shop’s rooftop, and many of the social media photos you see are taken from this spot.

Faifo Cafe Rooftop Condition

However, you can’t sit at the edge, as that area is reserved for photography. It was fun to observe the cityscape from the rooftop, and it was lovely to relax there before the tourists arrived later in the day.

Also, I noticed that the maintenance could be improved. There were litter and empty cups that hadn’t been cleaned up, likely due to the large crowd.

Overall: Hoi An Coffee Shop with Rooftop View

Faifo Cafe Hoi An - Best Place to take Instagrammable photo

All in all, Faifo Coffee Hoi An is a lovely coffee shop that is great for taking pictures and relaxing, especially after exploring the ancient town. While the coffee may not be the best in our opinion, it offers a fantastic view and a pleasant atmosphere. It’s one of the best rooftop spots overlooking the streets of Hoi An, making it an excellent place to capture stunning photos of the city.

We recommend visiting during off-peak hours to avoid the large tourist crowds, as it gets quite busy with people looking for the perfect sunset shot.

Getting to Miss Ly Restaurant is convenient, as it is located just steps away from Hoi An Market. It was just a three-minute walk from our hotel – Hoian Central Hotel.

What To order at Miss Ly Hoi An

The menu features classic Vietnamese dishes, carefully prepared to preserve local flavors and culinary traditions. The extensive selection offers an excellent opportunity for visitors to experience authentic Hoi An flavors at reasonable prices.

Highly recommended dishes include Cao Lau (rice noodles with barbecued pork), Banh Bao Vac (white rose dumplings), Thit Nuong (grilled pork), and other traditional Hoi An specialties.

We also noticed that Miss Ly offers a dedicated vegetarian menu with several vegan options, making it a great choice for plant-based diners.

We reviewed the menu and ordered several dishes: deep-fried wontons, pho, and cao lau. The food was served promptly, and the presentation was quite nice. Everything was very fresh and delicious.

Fried Wontons

Miss Ly Hoi An Must-try Fried Wontons

Don’t miss out on Miss Ly’s fried wontons!

The deep-fried wontons are so crispy! It is served with prawn and minced meat on top, and tomato sauce. The taste is fantastic, with a bit of a spicy kick. Among all the dishes, we particularly enjoyed the crispy fried wontons from Miss Ly. We would rate them as a must-try dish in Miss Ly Restaurant.

Cao Lau

What to eat at Miss Ly Hoi An - Cao Lau

Cao Lau is a signature Hoi An noodle dish that features thick noodles, pork, fresh herbs, and crispy cracklings. It’s essential for an authentic local flavour.

Miss Ly Staff Explained How to eat Cao Lau

The friendly servant also came here to explain how to eat cao lau. She explained to us and making sure to mix the noodles and toppings with the broth to enjoy the best flavor of this dish.

While the Cao Lau from Miss Ly tasted good, it wasn’t something truly extraordinary. The fried wontons were likely so good that we had high expectations for the Cao Lau.

Pho

Lastly, we also ordered pho from Miss Ly Cafeteria because we enjoy a hot soup noodles dish for dinner. It had a wonderful taste.

At the end of the meal, we didn’t have any food left at the end of our meal! The flavors were amazing, and there was just the right amount of food. The prices were very reasonable, and everything was great.

Overall: Miss Ly Hoi An Food Review

All in all, Miss Ly Cafeteria should be on your list of places to eat in Hoi An. The food is delicious and Miss Ly truly lives up to its reputation. We highly recommend Miss Ly Hoi An for authentic local Hoi An cuisine. The fried wontons are a must-try dish. Although the restaurant is relatively small, it is popular with both locals and visitors. It’s almost always crowded during mealtime, so if you want to go, be sure to arrive early.
